One of my favorite comedians is Artie Lange. He was one of the original cast members on the first season of Mad Tv, but is known more as a talent on the Howard Stern Show. (no longer on Stern) I had the opportunity to see him live about a year before he attempted suicide. Luckly he survived and can be found in any airplane bathroom having a piss with Newt Gingritch and Satan.

I hope he can put together another set of stand-up and hit the road soon. If he can make a come back, he could very well be the Keith Richards of stand-up. And that's a complement Artie!

I'm planning a road trip in March to see the Toronto Maple Leafs take on the Montreal Canadiens. A real classic when it comes to hockey rivalries. Anyways - the trip on the road will be like 12-14 hours there and back. So I thought I would get started on a " mixtape" as we once called them. Back in the day, I made tons of these cassette tapes. The first time I saw Zach was like most people. From the movie The Hangover. I knew right away this guy had talent. He reminded me of the "serious" John Belushi in the black comedy "Neibours". I went out and watched most of the stuff he did including a really weird film called "Visioneers" Here is an offbeat performance as a stand-up comedian. The show was recorded at the San Francisco club The Purple Onion in June 2005. In addition to Zach's routine, which features Zach's trademark dry humor, a large portion of which is accompanied by a light piano piece played by Zach as bed music. It ends with Zach tearing off pages of a large pad of paper which contain prewritten, largely self deprecating jokes, while the Pacific Boychoir[1] sings Greatest Love of All. The DVD contains two separate sections which are cut to throughout the routine, often at times where the content of the routine may have to do with the content of the other portions.One of the sections is an unscripted roadtrip to The Purple Onion in a Volkswagen bus with Zach and his friend Joe Wagner. The banter and happenings that occur seem to provide insights to where Zach gets some of his comedy. The bus ends up breaking down just short of their goal so they finish the trip in a GoCar, a small rental vehicle meant for tourists. The roadtrip portrays Zach as a fun-loving guy, different than his stage persona.The second section is a loosely scripted interview of Zach's brother "Seth Galifianakis" (played by Zach) by Brian Unger.The DVD was released March 6, 2007.

One thing I never get tired of, is a good ol' Hammond riff. Well with this recording you get plenty of sweet honey drops of Hammond. A full on prog instrumental space session.... very cool stuff. Makes me long for a hot summer night. A road trip north up highway 69 with the windows down. Warm wind with nothing but my headlights and the odd critter eyeballs staring at me as I blow by. Back to reality...it's freakin January in Canada...so until the summer solstice - I guess spinning this will do. And by the looks of it, my cool fuzzy Cat (Sir James Marshall Hendrix) is diggin it too. Groovy road trip tunes - wino

London Underground biographyA side project of STANDARTE's drummer/vocalist Daniele Caputo, this fairly recent Italian trio took their name from the very style of music that was played in the London underground during the late 60's. Caputo is joined by bassist Marco Piaggesi and keyboard player Gianluca Gerlini. Bassist Stefano Gabbani eventually replaced Piagesi and then guitarist Gianni Vergelli also joined in. Their style is similar to STANDARTE albeit much less heavy, and the guitars are used sparingly, leaving room for Gerlini to shine on the Hammond organ, Mellotron and Moog. Their albums feature excellent vocal harmonies that would have fit right into any BEATLES or TRAFFIC album of old. As influences go, we could cite BIGELF, PINK FLOYD, KING CRIMSON, ATOMIC ROOSTER, CARAVAN, ARGENT, and definitely THE BEATLES.Both of their albums, "London Underground" and "Through a Glass Darkly" (a spoof on an old STONES compilation LP), are a real throwback to the swinging 60's and early 70's; in fact, if it wasn't for the clean production, you'd swear these were recorded in 1970. The first album revisits the late 60's psychedelia whereas the second is fully early 70's progressive. The overall sound is very British (these Italian vocalists possess an impeccable command of the English language, b.t.w.) and both albums are expertly played and well produced. Is it prog? Well, it is definitely experimental yet accessible, delightfully retro and thoroughly enjoyable. Very cool stuff!
Excellent albums for a trip back to the hip days, with tons of Mellotron. Both are highly recommended.

Drive-By Truckers are an alternative country/Southern rock band based in Athens, Georgia, though two out of five current members (Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley) are originally from The Shoals region of Northern Alabama, and the band strongly identifies with Alabama. Their music uses three guitars as well as bass, drums, and now keyboards. Like many alternative country acts, the Drive-By Truckers record in analog (using 2 inch tape). However, unlike the majority of their contemporaries, the Drive-By Truckers have consistently pushed their labels to also release the band's records in a vinyl format.

This is a really righteous recording. Well written and somewhat nostalgic. Real Psychedelic rock written today, but with one foot in circa 1972. It's another one of those bands where you must listen to the whole album. I've been really diggin this band. Karl Apelmo (vocals, guitars) voice is classic euro psyche. Sweden has been pushing out great bands for awhile now…ani't no passin FAD here…just great music. Enjoy

As kid born and fed in Toronto Canada, hockey was a big thing growing up in the 70's. The Leafs on Hockey Night in Canada every Saturday night was a staple on cold winter nights. Adjusting the speaker wire I would use for an antena, to get the Leaf game on Wednesday nights from and CHCH 11 Hamilton's...well that was another story. Why the hell we had to get a broadcast from a city 80 miles away for our own town team was beyond me as a kid. This was pre cable TV and during the Harold Ballard years of ownership. So that explains it I guess. Philly's Broad Street Bullies. Peter Puck. Dave Keon. Detroit Redwing rivals in the late 70's and 80's.Salming. Eddie Shack. Ron Ellis...oh the good ol dayze!

Well the Leafs have not been in playoffs for 7 years now. It's shameful. Not so much that I think the Leafs can win a cup. But the fact that a whole generation of kids in this city (including my kid) are growing up without the magic and fever that this town experiences when there is a playoff drive...it's just sad. Blame it on big corp. It would be great for kids to experience that, like I did. With all the busllshit in the world these days, it would be nice to rally around the TV with my shorty, and re-live some of that magic. Like I did with Leaf Pyramid Power in the 70's...remember that?? During the 1976 Quarterfinals against the Flyers, Red Kelly utilized his ‘Pyramid Power’ theory as a psychological ploy. Kelly had his players believe that pyramids were a source of energy and strength. The Leaf coach then placed small pyramids under the bench and in the dressing room. All this was to no avail as the hated Flyers won the bitter quarterfinal series in 7 games.

So here it is. Playoff time again. No Leafs again. Only two Canadian teams. One in the West. One in the East. The best thing Leaf fans can hope for is a Habs VS Canucks FINAL!...now that would be cool....to bring the Cup back home to Canada.

For the record...I'm taking the team with the coolest sports logo EVER!!!! (next to the buds). The Vancouver Canucks will win the cup!

But in the future. If I ever see a tattoo on my kid with the Canuck logo
all because that's the team she could only watch growing up...then I'll cry. I'll cry long tears of blame. Blame'in tears for The Teachers Pension Fund that have the biggest shares in the Leafs and those fat cat greedy swine - sitting on the board at Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment.

SHAMEFULL I SAY...worse than the Harold Ballard Years...at least Ballard gave us playoffs and Pyramid Power!

One of the first English gothic rock bands. Formed in 1980. The band cited Leonard Cohen, Hawkwind, Gary Glitter, The Velvet Underground, The Stooges, Motörhead, Suicide, The Birthday Party, and The Fall as among their influences.[7] Cohen himself wrote and performed a song entitled "Sisters of Mercy" on his debut album, Songs of Leonard Cohen. The band shares influences with other bands in the first wave of what is termed "goth" music.

Whilst the band enjoys a considerable fan base with overlapping interests in so-called dark culture, The Sisters of Mercy consider themselves first and foremost a rock band. How is it that a private company called Web Sheriff, can mislead the public to thinking that they are the Internet Police. They brand themselves with a USA Sheriff logo, and call themselves "internet police" on their website? A US sheriff is typically the highest law enforcement officer in the county. A sheriff is in most cases elected by the population of the county.

IS THIS LEGAL?

Impersonating a police service is illegal in Canada. Should John Giacobbi be charged with impersonating a police force? He describes himself as independent consultant, but the company looks a lot like an official gov't agency or police force on their website.

GP: In the last few years there’s been a new aspect of your tone—more distinct, with a slight click, almost like a slap bass in rockabilly. “Hang Fire” and “She’s So Cold” are examples, and especially the last section of “Little T&A.”

Keith: It’s our equivalent of that rockabilly thing. I think you’ll find that comes from using a lot of analog delay on Ron’s guitar or my guitar or both of them, and I dampen it. That’ll give you that ticka-tacka-ticka. I always use that green MXR analog delay. I’m told it’s quite out of date now and old fashioned, but I got it free and I forgot that time marches on and they make better ones, or so they say. I don’t know. I’ve worked very well with those MXR things, and they’ve been very reliable.

Can you judge the sound of an electric guitar before you plug it in?

Maybe to a certain extent. If the neck and the action feel right, you’re more than halfway home, even before hearing the electronics. Things like weight and the density of the wood indicate certain things, but you simply need to play it to really tell. And it doesn’t take long.

On record you’ve used several very different types of guitars—Gibson Les Pauls and ES-335s, Fender Telecasters, and others. And yet a listener can tell right away that it’s you, from stylistic clues, but also from the sound alone.

I use a whole load of different guitars, that’s true, but they’re not all that dissimilar in type. I mean, 90 percent are probably Telecasters, old ones, but more than that, you can’t really separate style and sound, you see. People do separate them when they’re talking about music, but all of that often misses the whole point.

You’re suggesting that the style is the sound?

Yes, part of it, more than any particular tone setting or pickup or anything like that. I’ll just adjust to the sound of the track as we go—the sound of the bass drum and especially Ronnie’s guitar. The style is adjusting along with the sound. There’s never a conscious effort to get that “Honky Tonk Woman” tone or a thing like that. You may get it or you may not. But that’s not what you’re thinking about. You’re thinking about the track.

Some people were amazed to read in your first Guitar Player cover story that on “Street Fighting Man” there are no electric guitars.

Two acoustics, one of them put through the first Philips cassette player they made. It was overloaded, recorded on that, and then hooked up through a little extension speaker, and then onto the studio tape through a microphone.

One of my favorite "LIVE" bands these days. SO-CAL's Rival Sons play three shows in Ontario. Humble Pie meets Zoso. All original real rock. Real tone! The way ROCK is meant to be played. Jay Buchanan's vocals are dirty - raspy - with rock soul funk sugar. Killer pipes and he plays harp too! Sons play London, and two shows in Toronto then there off to SXSW in Austin.

HARDCORE MUSIC SCENE circa 1979 -1985

In 1980 I was a teenager living in the west end of Toronto. Bands like Styx, Fleetwood Mac and Boston were getting hi rotation on FM stations. (Ironically they still freakin do)...ten years of bell bottoms, hippies, and disco ...then out of nowhere, came this thing called punk. I was more into the British punk bands like The Clash, Pistols, Sham 69 and good ol' Iggy....but the scene flipped the table. In came the fashion too. Like ankle pants, runners, leather jackets, black eyeliner, ripped t-shirts and bad haircuts...this was real change...you could feel it. The older crowd would actually laugh and stare at the young freaks walking the streets. These days anything goes. But even deeper underground, if you so dared, was a powerful music scene called HARDCORE. I only slightly touched this scene. It was too heavy even for me. Lots of fighting, unemployment, drugs, and hardcore living in warehouses with no heat. Not my thing. But there were a few bands coming to the surface that I liked, for a snotty young punk in west Toronto. A real music vibe happening in places like Washington DC, NYC and L.A...bands like Bad Brains, Black Flag, Dead Kennedys and Vancouver's D.O.A.

Canada's D.O.A helped to popularize the term HARDCORE with their 1981 album called HARDCORE 81...

I remember owning a record from D.O.A "Live". It has a picture of Margaret Trudeau on the cover. Rumour has it, that she is signing an autograph in New York City's - Studio 54 ....without any underwear on!!!!!

IMO...these are the three first bands of Hardcore that paved the way for Grunge, Thrash, and all the other sub gengres of music that would follow. Without these bands (and the Kilmister)...we would probably be still listening to Disco and Fleetwood Mac.

It's the long weekend. It's pay day and It's friday!...and we are getting a blast of warm air here in Toronto...plus 10C in February is like Cuba weather for us Canadians. A nice thaw. It don't get much better...so while I was opening up my BBQ, I found an old cassette sitting there. Thin Lizzy's Renegade!...why was a Thin Lizzy cassette sitting inside the BBQ? I have no fuckin idea! But I love this album. It's one of those records that you know is not there best, but it just grows on you. Plus the fact that Gary Moore is NOT on this recording is another bonus. (I can't stand that cliche guitar player) ...may you rest in peace Gary, but I really diggy Snow White instead. With a moniker like Snowy White, you get bonus points in the "cool" book. For those of you, who don't know who Snowy White is, he's the guitar player for Roger Waters. After leaving Thin Lizzy he went on tour with the Floyd during THE WALL tour...not bad...anyways...check out this under the radar Lynott session.
Like I said...It's not there best...but it does have minimoog on the session...if that's not a great reason to fire up the BBQ, then I don't know what is!

Renegade was the eleventh studio album by Irish band Thin Lizzy, released in 1981 Though not his first appearance, this was the first album in which keyboard player Darren Wharton was credited as a permanent member, becoming the fifth member of the line-up. As such, he made a contribution as a song-writer on the opening track "Angel of Death". However, even though he had officially joined the band, his picture was omitted from the album sleeve.

Univox Super Fuzz

The Univox Super-Fuzz is a fuzzbox produced by the Univox company, primarily for use with the electric guitar or bass. Super-Fuzz pedals have become highly sought after, and have developed a fanatical following, exalted by many as the "Holy Grail" of fuzz pedals.

The circuit was designed in the late 1960s by the Japanese company Shin-ei, (who also produced another well known fuzz box, the Shin-ei Companion FY-2) and manufactured in Japan by Unicord. The first Super-Fuzzes were made in 1968, and production continued until the late 70s.

The first units were made in a simple stamped sheet metal box, painted grey, with a blue Univox sticker on the top. Around 1970 production was changed to a die-cast metal box, with a large pedal featuring a rubber cover that had the words "Super-Fuzz" embossed on it. The first die cast units were either grey or black, with a green or black foot pedal. Around 1973 or so, they were all produced with an orange pedal, with a green or blue foot pedal. The later models also featured an internal trim pot for controlling the octave balance.

Although the Univox is the most well known incarnation of this circuit, Shin Ei licensed this circuit out to dozens of manufacturers, including Ibanez, Apollo, Companion, Shaftsbury, Mica, JAX, Kent, Teisco, Marlboro, Royal, and many others. Sometimes it was packaged with a wah pedal, or with the tone switch being a footswitch, or both. This circuit is also very similar to the famous Fender "Blender", and Roland "Bee Baa". More recent applications of this circuit type can be found in Guyatone's TZ-2 Fuzz, MJM China Fuzz, Black Candy Superfuzz Deluxe, Prescription Electronics' Outbox, Boss's Hyper Fuzz, and others, although most agree the newer versions do not sound quite the same.

This unique fuzz tone is an octave fuzz using two germanium diodes to produce the square wave clipping. The controls are 'Balance' (volume), 'Expander' (fuzz amount), a two position 'tone' switch, and an on/off footswitch on top. There are two unique features of this device that set it apart from other distortion and fuzz pedals. The first is that the full-wave rectification of the circuit produces an upper octave as well as a slight lower octave. This also gives the sound a lot of compression and gives a mild ring modulator effect. The second unique feature is a tone switch that engages a 1khz filter that "scoops" the mids, giving a very fat, almost bassy tone, unique to this circuit.

Today, the Superfuzz is being manufactured under the name "Classic Fuzz" by Wattson Classic Electronics, which is in no way associated with Univox, Unicord, or any of the original companies that manufactured the Superfuzz. Other versions of the Super-Fuzz circuit are avaiilable from boutique companies like 73 Effects and Black Cat Pedals.

Drive-By Truckers are an alternative country/Southern rock band based in Athens, Georgia and they are playing Ontario Canada this summer at the saugeen summer nights fest

Three out of six members (Patterson Hood, Mike Cooley, and Shonna Tucker) are originally from The Shoals region of Northern Alabama, and the band more strongly identify as Alabamians. Their music uses three guitars as well as bass, drums, and now keyboards. Like many alternative country acts, the Drive-By Truckers record in analog (using 2 inch tape).[1] However, unlike the majority of their contemporaries, the Drive-By Truckers have consistently pushed their labels to also release the band's records in a vinyl format.

The Big To-Do is the eighth studio album (tenth total) by the alternative country band Drive-By Truckers, released on March 16, 2010. It is their first album released on ATO Records, which they signed to after completing their four album deal with New West Records. The Big To-Do marks the seventh Drive-By Truckers album produced by David Barbe. The addition of keyboardist Jay Gonzalez to the band's line-up (though he played on the band's second live album) further differentiates this album from its predecessors, and showcases the influence Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (specifically Benmont Tench) have had on the band.

The Big To-Do was recorded over three blocks of sessions in 2009 (ten days in January, five days in March, and ten days in May) resulting in 25 songs. The band decided to split these tracks between The Big To-Do and its follow up Go-Go Boot's.[1] The album had been mixed, mastered, and completely done before Cooley wrote "Birthday Boy," which was quickly recorded, mixed, and inserted into The Big To-Do.

Bandmember Patterson Hood said that The Big To-Do is "very much a rock album. Very melodic and more rocking than anything since disc 2 of Southern Rock Opera."[2] Hood also states in the album's liner notes that The Big To-Do was not written or recorded with a specific concept in mind (unlike many of the band's earlier albums). The recurring images of the circus, Hood explains, are analogous to "rock shows." While most of the Drive-By Trucker's albums have chronicled the Southern past, The Big To-Do is written entirely about the present. Hood and Cooley's respective songs "This Fucking Job" and "Get Downtown," describe from different points of view the current floundering economy (and are argued by Grant Alden to be the bands most political songs since "The Living Bubba").[3]

Guitarist Mike Cooley commented on the development of the album, explaining that because he didn't have many songs to contribute when the band started working on the album he decided to focus on "being a player on everybody else's songs while still trying to come up with my own thing." Cooley's hook of a riff in "That Wig He Made Her Wear," exemplifies this statement. He continued by saying that for him, the turning points in creating the album were working on the songs "You Got Another" and "The Flying Wallendas.

North Mississippi Allstars is a Southern rock/blues jam band from Hernando, Mississippi, founded in 1996. The band is composed of brothers Luther Dickinson (guitar, vocals) and Cody Dickinson (drums, keyboards, electric washboard), and Chris Chew (electric bass guitar). In addition to the guitar, Dickinson also plays a cigar box guitar called the "lowebow."[specify] Duwayne Burnside, who formerly played second guitar in the band, is a son of R. L. Burnside (who also played on some of the band's tracks).

In November 2007, Luther Dickinson joined The Black Crowes as lead guitarist, and has appeared on their albums Warpaint (2008), Before the Frost...Until the Freeze (2009) and Croweology (2010). Luther Dickinson currently devotes his time to both the Black Crowes and the North Mississippi Allstars. Cody Dickinson has also started a side project, Hill Country Revue, featuring Daniel Coburn, Kirk Smithhart, Doc Samba and Ed Cleveland.[2] They are sometimes joined by Luther Dickinson and members of the Burnside family. They have released two albums, Make A Move (2009) and Zebra Ranch (2010).

Gov't Mule (pronounced Government Mule) is a Southern rock jam band formed in 1994 as an Allman Brothers Band side project by Warren Haynes and Allen Woody. They released their debut album Gov't Mule in 1995. Gov't Mule has become a staple act at music festivals across North America, with both its members and frequent guests boasting members from other notable bands, adding various funk and blues rock elements to the band's sound.

Gov't Mule is the self-titled debut album of southern rock/jam band Gov't Mule.
It has a very jam oriented feel to it and was mostly recorded live in the studio with many tracks running into each other. "Mule" is still a concert favorite, and "Rockin' Horse" was later recorded by The Allman Brothers Band when Warren Haynes rejoined the group for the album Hittin' the Note.

Widespread Panic is an American rock band from Athens, Georgia. The current lineup includes guitarist/singer John Bell, bassist Dave Schools, drummer Todd Nance, percussionist Domingo "Sunny" Ortiz, keyboardist John "JoJo" Hermann, and guitarist Jimmy Herring. Michael Houser and George McConnell have also played lead guitar for the band.

Light Fuse, Get Away is the first live album released by the Athens, GA based band Widespread Panic. It was first released by Capricorn Records on April 12, 1998. It would later be re-released in 2001 by Zomba Music Group. The album was recorded over various concerts by the band in 1997. Pickin' Up The Pieces featured Branford Marsalis on saxophone and was recorded on September 7, 1997 in Boston.

On April 18, 1998, the band played a free live show in downtown Athens as part of their CD release party. According to the band, attendance was estimated at around 100,000 people. This in turn broke a previous record by Metallica for "largest record release party". The show was filmed and released later in 1998 on video.

The album reached a peak position of #67 on the Billboard 200 chart.

JUNIOR KIMBROUGH: Meet Me In The City (1999)

Junior Kimbrough was born in Hudsonville, Mississippi,[1] and lived in the North Mississippi Hill Country near Holly Springs. He recorded for the Fat Possum Records label. He was a long-time associate of labelmate R. L. Burnside, and the Burnside and Kimbrough families often collaborated on musical projects. This relationship continues today. Rockabilly musician and friend Charlie Feathers called Kimbrough "the beginning and end of all music." This is written on Kimbrough's tombstone outside his family's church, the Kimbrough Family Church, in Holly Springs.

Beginning around 1992, Kimbrough operated a juke joint known as "Junior's Place" in Chulahoma, Mississippi, which attracted visitors from around the world, including members of U2, Keith Richards, and Iggy Pop. Kimbrough's sons, musicians Kinney and David Malone Kimbrough, kept it open following his death, until it burned to the ground on April 6, 2000.

Junior Kimbrough died of a heart attack in 1998 in Holly Springs following a stroke, at the age of 67.

Belushi achieved national fame for his work on Saturday Night Live, which he joined as an original cast member in 1975. Between seasons of the show, he made one of his best-known movies, Animal House. As several Belushi biographies have noted[specify], on John's 30th birthday (in 1979), he had the number one film in the U.S. (Animal House), the number one album in the U.S. (The Blues Brothers: Briefcase Full of Blues) and Saturday Night Live was the highest-rated late night television program.

When interviewed for retrospectives on John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd told stories of John often finishing SNL rehearsals, shows or film shoots and, exhausted, simply walking unannounced into nearby homes of friends or strangers, scrounging around for food and often falling asleep, unable to be located for the following day's work.[6] This was the impetus for the SNL horror-spoof sketch "The Thing That Wouldn't Leave",[7] in which Belushi torments a couple (played by Jane Curtin and Bill Murray) in their home looking for snacks, newspapers and magazines to read, and taking control of their television. In an unfortunate foreshadowing, during the opening of the episode of SNL that aired on December 17, 1977, Belushi, while in character as himself, quipped, "I plan to be dead by the time I'm 30."[8] SNL also featured a short film by writer Tom Schiller called "Don't Look Back In Anger",[9] where Belushi, playing himself as an old man and the last-surviving SNL cast member, visits the graves of his now-former cast members. Belushi was the first SNL cast member to die.

Belushi left Saturday Night Live in 1979 to pursue a film career. Belushi would make four more movies; three of them, 1941, Neighbors, and most notably The Blues Brothers were made with fellow SNL alumnus Dan Aykroyd.

On March 5, 1982, Belushi was found dead in his room at Bungalow number 3 of the Chateau Marmont on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, California.[10] The cause of death was a speedball; the combined injection of cocaine and heroin. On the night of his death, he was visited separately by friends Robin Williams[11] and Robert De Niro,[12] each of whom left the premises, leaving Belushi in the company of assorted others, including Cathy Smith. His death was investigated by forensic pathologist Dr. Ryan Norris among others, and while the findings were disputed, it was officially ruled a drug-related accident.

Two months later, Smith admitted in an interview with the National Enquirer that she had been with Belushi the night of his death and had given him the fatal speedball shot. After the appearance of the article "I Killed Belushi" in the Enquirer edition of June 29, 1982, the case was reopened. Smith was extradited from Toronto, arrested and charged with first-degree murder. A plea bargain reduced the charge to involuntary manslaughter, and she served 15 months in prison.[13]

Shortly before his death, he filmed a cameo for the comedy series Police Squad!. At the suggestion of the show's producer, Robert K. Weiss, Belushi was filmed, face down in a swimming pool, dead. The footage was part of a running gag where the episode's guest-star wouldn't survive past the opening credits without meeting some gruesome end. The scene was cut after his death and the footage is believed to have been lost.

Belushi and his friend Dan Aykroyd were slated to present the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects at the 54th Academy Awards, an event held less than four weeks after his death.

Belushi is interred in Abel's Hill Cemetery on Martha's Vineyard Chilmark, Massachusetts. His tombstone, a New England classic slate design, complete with skull and crossbones, reads "I may be gone but Rock and Roll lives on."[14] Rumor has it that his gravestone is not above his body because it was moved after operators of the cemetery had found many signs of vandalism and rowdiness where his body lies. He also is remembered on the Belushi family stone marking his mother's grave at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, Illinois. This stone says "He Gave Us Laughter"

Artie Lange - It's the Whiskey Talkin

Arthur Steven "Artie" Lange, Jr. (born October 11, 1967) is an American actor, comedian, radio personality, and author. Lange is most notable for replacing Jackie Martling on The Howard Stern Show, and for being an original cast member of the sketch comedy series MADtv. Lange co-wrote a book with Anthony Bozza titled Too Fat to Fish. It was released on November 11, 2008, and debuted at number one on the New York Times best-seller list on November 21, 2008.

2010 suicide attempt

On January 2, 2010, Lange attempted suicide by repeatedly stabbing himself in the abdomen with a 13-inch kitchen knife.[47] He was found on the floor of his home by his mother and taken to Jersey City Medical Center, where he underwent surgery. Lange was released the following week.[48] Sirius stated that Lange would be welcomed back onto The Howard Stern Show following his recovery.[49]

Lange returned to the comedy stage for the first time on September 27, eight months after his suicide attempt, performing two nights at Comedy Cellar in New York. He mentioned being in a psychiatric ward since the incident.[
