Every artist relishes the opportunity to record an album made up entirely of songs that they've loved listening to over the years. Johnny Cash, whose own songs probably land on plenty of other folks' wish list, is no exception--and this charming holiday set sees him treat his favorites with reverence even as he adds his own stamp. There are plenty of venerable carols here, but Cash really hits home on the less-aired ones (like "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day"), as well as more personal songs, such as "Christmas with You," a duet with wife June Carter.
