1,623 Guitars

Toronto Luminato Festival of Arts & Creativity, tried
to break a record in the Guinness Book of World Records. The Guinness World Record is held by Germany at 1,800 players performing Deep Purple's Smoke on the Water. 1,623 people gathered in Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto to play Neil Young's "Helpless". This was a new Canadian record for largest guitar ensemble. But we missed the mark for the world record. :{

Standing in a sea of guitars and listening to 1,623
strummers (acoustic only), play D-A-G, is a transcending and a illuminating experience!

We're trying again next year!
Cool Time
